A fluffy delicious biscuit goes well with any meal… and it somehow tastes even better when it’s a home-cooked one. Maybe even more so when that biscuit only took four ingredients to make and was virtually no effort at all! These four-ingredient 7-Up Biscuits are the kind of recipe that seems too good to be true – they’re easy to make and deeeeelicious thanks to a few shortcut ingredients that result in the ideal biscuit texture and flavor.
While these are home-cooked, they’re not really from scratch since they rely on a few kitchen shortcut style ingredients for the dough. The first is bisquick, which is maybe the ultimate kitchen quick-fix.
That is mixed with 7-up and sour cream into a quick and simple batter. The 7-up helps with some aeration and sweetness while the sour cream keeps things moist and gives a bit of a balancing tang.
Dollops of the dough go into a pan and melted butter gets poured allllll over the top.
That way, when the biscuits bake, they’re baking in butter, so they come out not only fluffy and moist but also bathed in delicious buttery flavor.
When you only have to worry about four ingredients, it feels really easy to get fresh homemade biscuits onto the table regularly and with these, you don’t have to worry about rolling or cutting or anything that feels fussy. They’re super easy and just so happen to be super yummy, too!
