The First ‘Self-Love’ Restaurant Wants You To Dine Alone In Front Of A Mirror On Valentine’s Day

When February 14th comes around, some people get depressed if they are single, though that isn’t always the case. In fact, you might even appreciate visiting a London pop-up for an interesting dining experience. If you are single on Valentine’s Day, you can practice self-love by dining at the restaurant in front of a mirror.

If this sounds unusual, you might be surprised to learn that this restaurant pop-up is hoping to promote self-love on a day when most people consider being in love with someone else. A Mintel survey was the inspiration for this unique pop-up; it found that in the UK, one in three people dined alone regularly, according to Huff Post.

Two4One is the name of the new pop-up, and mirrors will be available for those dining by themselves, along with music and motivational quotes. There is also an interesting twist to the evening: Prior to the time that the final part of the three-course meal is delivered, the mirror will be removed and you will find someone else has been eating alone on the other side of it all along. Those two people will then make the choice of either splitting the bill, opting for a two-for-one discount, or paying the checks separately. You may not find your soulmate on the other side of the mirror, but at least you can get a cheap meal.

Two4One is available for your dining pleasure on February 13th and 14th from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. You may want to arrive early because spots are limited. A £20 fee can be paid in advance through Eventbrite if you would like to reserve a spot. All of the proceeds from the experience will be donated to Mary’s Meals, an organization providing students with free school lunches when they can’t afford their own. Looks like you may just be spreading some love this Valentine’s Day after all.
