Spain is experiencing forced social distancing as they try their best to mitigate the coronavirus pandemic. While no one is able to go to the gym during the quarantine period, one fitness trainer decided to bring the workout to them. This video that was posted over the weekend gave us a much-needed smile. Spain went into lockdown mode on Saturday and the video was posted the same day.
Gonzalo is the personal trainer in question, and he stood on top of the roof and led his neighbors through a typical workout. At a time like this, we are all trying our best to cling to any sense of normalcy. This Seville apartment complex got to get their reverse lunges, squats, and jumping jacks in. If you would like to check out Gonzalo’s Instagram, head to gonzalo_gbroto.
“Despite such adverse circumstances, we’re going to get the best out of you,” said the personal training center that employs Gonzalo. Kudos to Sano Sevilla Los Bermejales for being willing to help out during the quarantine. It would be easy to pack on the pounds when you are stuck at home, and that’s why Gonzalo is looking to help out his fellow citizens with their workout routines.
The workout was organized through WhatsApp, according to Luis Javier, who manages the aforementioned gym. The neighbors have been having a hard time during the quarantine. Now, they finally have something to look forward to. These people will be able to remain on top of their training and should be ready to go back to work without missing a beat.
The situation in Spain is a tough one. The workout sessions allow them to face it in a more positive manner. The video went viral, and hopefully, this creativity inspires others to find new ways to tackle their workout regimen. Social distancing is no excuse to sacrifice all of the gains that you have been making since you made your New Year’s resolutions.
We are grateful to Gonzalo for providing everyone with a wonderful blueprint for staying fit when we are all stuck inside. Take a moment to pass this one along to your friends and loved ones who are in search of a new workout routine during this extended period of social distancing.
