Man Scans Incredible “Tourist” Photos of Mid-century Paris as Loving Tribute to His Grandfather

The scenes Anderson captured are engaged, ernest, and utterly candid. At the same time these photos show an elegance even amidst the bustle of one of Europe’s busiest cities that is a real sign of the times. Ladies in heels and men in full suits (with hats) scurry at a relaxed pace to get to the next little shop or cafe.

We could imagine many of these photos making the pages of a glossy magazine of the era. And what a fitting tribute for such a gifted photographer by his grandson!
