Honey Garlic Kielbasa and Veggie Sheet Pan Dinner

I’ve come to look at sheet pan meals as somewhat of a weeknight savior. There isn’t an easier way to get dinner on the table than just tossing a bunch of ingredients on a sheet pan and popping it in the oven. And since you can use pretty much whatever you happen to have on hand, they’re easy to throw together at a moment’s notice. Of course, if you’re really improvising in the ingredient department you can end up with a combination that’s not so desirable… But that’s where recipes like this one come in. It uses ingredients you likely have in your kitchen right now (and if not, it’s versatile enough to accommodate some swaps) and it coats them in a delicious honey garlic sauce that feels inspired no matter how many times you use it.

This starts with smoky kielbasa sausage, but also includes broccoli, red onion, sweet potato, and Yukon Gold potatoes. You could just as easily use red potatoes and cauliflower or russets and asparagus because what really ties this all together is the sauce.

That sauce is a mixture of olive oil, honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, thyme, and plenty of garlic. It’s the kind of sauce that’d go well on almost anything, but it’s heaven on this particular combination of protein and veggies. The sweetness is the perfect complement to the smokiness of the sausage and the garlicky bite backs up all those veggies so nicely.
