‘Drunk Yoga’ Retreat In Mexico Lets You Get Fit While Drinking Cocktails

If you made the resolution to be healthy this year but you aren’t into self-denial, there may be some good news on the horizon.

Lonely Planet is reporting on a retreat in Mexico that allows you to focus using yoga but it also includes astrological readings and cocktails.

Astrologist and founder of Drunk Yoga, Eli Walker, created the retreat at the Haven Riviera Cancun in Mexico. According to Lonely Planet, it was a collaboration with CheapCaribbean, a travel company.

Guests are able to pay attention to their physical and mental health at the New Year, Do You Retreat. They can also indulge themselves with a drink or get their birth chart read.

For millennial’s, this may be the ultimate retreat.

You will find a hotel, airfare, yoga classes complete with cocktails, personal astrological readings, sunrise yoga and workshops to get to know yourself better. The retreat also includes a copy of Walker’s book, Lonely Planet reports.

If those benefits weren’t enough, you can even personalize the experience by playing games, doing yoga at the beach or taking part in other activities. Walker will meet with each guest as they arrive to provide them with their astrological reading and construct their personalized visit. You also be able to hang out with other people who think like you.

“This retreat is for the ‘spiritually-curious’ folks who perhaps aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a full, 10-day vegan yoga and meditation retreat/cleanse, but are ready to dive a little deeper into understanding themselves and their relationship to the universe in a fun, pressure-free environment,” Walker told Lonely Planet.

If you are interested in visiting the retreat, the starting price is $899 per person. The dates for the retreat are February 20-23. Unfortunately, the bookings closed January 31, unless they open again. Maybe next year.
