The creators of Cards Against Humanity are at it again. The company is known for their crazy marketing stunts and outlandish sales, but this one takes the cake.
They’re opening up a restaurant where you can play different board games along with having two escape rooms.
The Chicago Board Game Cafe is already taking reservations online and will open on January 10, 2020, according to Food & Wine. Each reservation is two hours long to give each party the chance to play an entire (board) game. The coolest part is that there will be teachers to teach you games, recommend new ones, and help with disputes.
Max Temkin, one of the creators of Cards Against Humanity, said that he is created the restaurant as a way for people to connect: “We’ve been making games for almost 10 years now, and we’ve seen that games, food, and theater have an incredible capacity to bring people together and create community,” he told the mag. “It has been our dream for a long time to do a really ambitious version of a game cafe and share it with people.”
The food is gonna be pretty darn good as the owners told Food & Wine that you can order things like the pork and queso-topped Huaraches, Bún Gà Nuong, Kebab Halabi, and Nam Tok Neua, and salad made with grass-fed beef.
And if you’re not a gamer, you can try one of the two escape rooms at the establishment.
