Christmas will be here before we know it! Along with the hosting, shopping, cooking, decorating, and a myriad of other things we need to get done during the holidays, wrapping the presents can get lost in the business of the season! With these three easy bows, you can make the perfect looking present in no time and then move on to the next thing on the endless holiday to-do list!
Perfect Frilly Bow
This is such a beautiful bow, and one we see in display windows, on top of Christmas trees, and adorning wreaths. It looks complicated, but it’s actually a lot easier than you might think. Start with a double wire ribbon. Fold it four times so you have nice, even loops like in the picture below.
Next, make a loop with one end in the middle, and pinch the layers of ribbon, securing with a pipe cleaner. Now all you have to do is fluff the bow out and attach to your present, tree, or bow. Use the pipe cleaner to easily mount the bow wherever you see fit!
We don’t know about you, but it seems we can never quite get this bow to turn out the way we want. It seems like it would be easy, but when we try our hand, it never comes out right! Never fear. With the right technique, we’re able to get this beautiful bow in no time.
First, loop your ribbon around the present and tie a half knot, like you’re tying your shoes. Then, make a loop on one end with the bottom ribbon, making sure the tail of the ribbon is facing out. Take the top ribbon, printed side out, and wrap it around the loop you made in the bottom ribbon. Feed the top ribbon through, making another loop. Again, like typing your shoes. Finally, fluff out the loops to the size you want, and trim the tails accordingly.
