What better way to build a tribute to the famous Stonehenge than to replicate the structure with cars? This monument of sorts is made up of 38 cars from the 50s and 60s. Carhenge is all thanks to local farmer, Jim Reinders, who said he built it for his dad. You can visit Carhenge in Alliance, Nebraska any time of the year, and it’s totally free!
This colorful roadside attraction is truly a labor of love from the creator, Leonard Knight. He spent no less than 30 years painting this beautiful mural of sorts in the dessert of California. He wanted to leave something positive behind, something that would inspire and make the world a better place. Even though Leonard passed away in 2014, he definitely accomplished his goal of leaving a positive mark on the world!
